A New Toy...
Some of you may know who I am. You've seen my work from The Toys, The Milwaukee Wave, The Pfister Hotel or any Marcus Hotel, Generac Power Systems and Assurant Health. I'm co-owner of Z2 Marketing. I've been with Jimmy and the Toys for a long time. Actually I've been shooting photography for not only The Toys but many local and national bands for about 17 years.
What makes a band a good one is what you see on stage every weekend. How they sing like the CD. How they remind you of your younger days. Do that amazing solo or hit that killer fill. How they make you forget how bad of week you just had. Local music does all those things. Bands like the Toys are our escape. Not all bands can pull it all off though.
The Toys keep evolving and you will see a couple new faces on stage this summer, but... The Toys are the same band that reminds you that you are young again. That will have you raising your drink to a Styx song. Has you jumping into your best friend screaming lyrics to that Weezer song. The party will always go on. The Toys will always be one of those reasons why.
Next time you see some dude with a really large camera at a Toys show stop and say hey. Then buy him (me) a beer.
